Since 1989, Marino General Contracting Ltd. has been a fixture in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland neighbourhoods. Living and working within the community, the MGC team is known for offering quality service synonymous with workmanship and efficiency. Our projects range from high end, small and large scale renovations and new builds, to commercial spaces, and landscaping projects.

The Marino Method is an important process that is dedicated to creating a transparent and enjoyable experience for our clients. We value open lines of communication between the Contractor/Project Manager, Homeowner, Architect, and Designer, ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on schedule.

Part of our practice involves detailed preliminary proposals, pre-construction planning, transparent invoicing, and monthly budget and schedule updates. Within the staff there is a focus on mindfulness; our employees are proud to work for a company that shares their uncompromising dedication to providing the highest level of customer service and finished product. We believe that excellence in practice starts with attention to the smallest of details, and working with all parties to achieve the project goals.

We live and work in our community, and it is important to give back. As founding members of the HAVAN Women’s Council, we are committed to getting more people to consider a career in the construction industry, and are doing our part to create a lasting, positive change in the industry. As part of the HAVAN Women’s Council, we have started a scholarship program with BCIT and neighbouring high schools, to introduce students to a career in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering.

1. Initial Consultation

First meeting with client where scope of work, budget, goals, and estimated schedule are discussed.

2. Preliminary Proposal

Information gathered from the initial consultation is used to create a preliminary proposal, which outlines client background and requirements, a detailed scope of work, estimate, and schedule for client review and approval.

3. Construction Plan

After the preliminary proposal is approved, a construction budget and plan will be finalized ahead of active construction. This includes a more detailed cost breakdown and schedule, which helps the client understand their project and our process before construction begins.

4. Building Phase

Site preparation, demolition, and new construction starts. Site supervision, quality control, client preferences, and engineering specifications are assessed throughout the building phase.

5. Inspections

Final engineering inspections and occupancy site approvals are finalized. Clients take a prepossession walkthrough of finished project.

6. The Marino Assurance

The foundation of our business has always been the referrals we receive from our clients. We see it as our duty to go the extra mile, leaving the client satisfied beyond their expectations, happy to recommend us, and to work with us again in the future.
